Privacy Policy
How nod. handles information to provide private check-ins for couples.
Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Information we process
- Account and pairing data: Sign in with Apple account identifier, chosen nickname, selected profile information, adult-confirmation status, pairing membership, and invite codes.
- Check-in data: Yes or No choices, check-in timing, reveal state, and trends generated from those choices.
- Optional cycle and note data: cycle dates, duration, cycle estimates, sharing choices, and calendar notes. This information is private by default and visible to a current partner only when sharing is enabled in the app.
- Device data: push-notification token, locale, time zone, and platform needed to deliver notifications and synchronize settings.
- Purchase data: App Store transaction identifier and subscription or entitlement status required to provide nod. Plus.
2. How we use information
We use this information only to authenticate accounts and provide private check-ins, pairing, notifications, synchronization, optional sharing, and purchase-entitlement features. We do not sell, rent, or use intimate, cycle, or health-related information for advertising or behavioral tracking.
3. Service providers and sharing
Supabase provides authenticated backend storage and synchronization. Apple provides Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, and push notifications. Information is shared with a paired partner only through choices made within the app. nod. does not use third-party advertising or cross-app behavioral analytics SDKs.
4. Data retention and deletion
You can delete local device data in Settings. This does not delete server data or cancel an App Store subscription. When signed in, you can request permanent account deletion in Settings. The app ends the active pairing and requests deletion of the authenticated account and associated server data. App Store purchase records are managed by Apple under Apple’s policies.
5. Security
nod. uses TLS for communication with its backend. In Night Batch mode, check-in responses remain unavailable to a partner until the configured reveal condition is met.
